Flickering Fragrances is a small business specializing in handmade, small-batch soy candles with crackling cherry wood wicks and a wide range of scents.

Flickering Fragrances needed more than just a website—it needed a brand. The business sold handmade soy candles with crackling cherry wood wicks, but lacked cohesive visual identity and a functional e-commerce presence. The client also described herself as “not very tech-savvy,” so ease of use was critical.

I created a clean, ocean-inspired website with lots of negative space, using aquamarine and a warm yellow accent to reflect her personality and make the products shine. Built on WordPress and WooCommerce, the site includes a simplified backend that makes it easy for her to manage products, fulfill orders, and respond to customers—without needing outside help.

By transforming a basic logo into a full brand experience and building user-friendly tools around it, the site gave her the confidence to grow her business independently.
