I was hired to create a presentation for local author Carl Hungness using Microsoft PowerPoint.
He had written a biography of Carl Fisher, the founder of Miami Beach, the Indianapolis 500, and the Dixie Highway. Carl was set to give a presentation to a prestigious club in Miami Beach.
Mr. Hungness wanted to include every picture from his book. He did not have individual image files, but he did have .pdf files of each of the book’s pages. I had to take a screenshot of each image, then crop and resize each of them in Adobe Photoshop before importing them into PowerPoint.
For time and budget reasons, I decided to use a pre-designed Microsoft template called Vintage Presentation for the slideshow itself. I ended up having to tweak it quite a bit to my liking, but it was the perfect classic look to tell the story of a man who greatly influenced transportation in the early 1900s.
The following are a selection of the slides for the two hour presentation.
