MainStreet Magazine was a photomontage I created for a class at Herzing University.
The premise of the magazine was focused on tourism and featured a new small town each month. The assignment was to go out, take photographs, then use Adobe Photoshop to create the magazine cover.
I combined the golden dome of Madison, Indiana’s courthouse with a view of some of the Main Street businesses, then added the American flag, bistro table and chair, flowerpots, and autumn decorations. I used an interesting serif typeface for the headlines because I felt it expressed the welcoming feeling of a small hometown.
